These are positional tools from a set of tools called Brain Gym. I
frequently use the hookups position myself and recommend it to my
clients. You can do hookups lying down, sitting, or standing. It's
useful to calm yourself, relax, energize yourself if you are tired, and
also to do right before falling asleep at night.
I
often combine it with yogic breathing, doing the hookups position for a
few minutes, then doing a series of yogic breathing breaths.
